Job Title: Flexographic Ink Technician
Hours: Monday-Friday 3pm-11pm
Department: Ink
Reports To: VP of Operations
Job Summary:
The Flexographic Ink Technician is responsible for dispensing ink formulas and toning colors to match approved samples or GMG for the flexographic press used in the production of plastic packaging. This role requires a high level of precision, technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ink Dispensing: Accurately dispense ink formulas according to the specifications provided in the job orders.
- Inventory Management: Accurately load and unload inventory in the Ink production system.
- Color Toning: Tone colors to match approved samples or GMG, ensuring consistency and quality in all print jobs.
- Quality Control: Inspect mixed inks for consistency and ensure they meet the required standards before they are sent to the press.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on ink dispensing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the press operators and plate makers to ensure the inks align with the design requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of ink dispensing and color toning for future reference and inventory management.
- Ensure the quality of product by following area procedures and filling out appropriate documentation records.
- Ensure the safety and legality of product by being aware of and complying with food safety policy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a print production environment, preferably in flexographic ink dispensing and color toning.
- Knowledge of flexographic printing processes and ink dispensing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
