Advanced Counseling and Play Therapy is looking to hire another full-time therapist! We are a growing child and adolescent mental health practice seeking a licensed therapist to join our team of passionate professionals. You’ll work with children (ages 2 ), teens, and their families, using play, creativity, and evidence-based practices to make a real difference. Our practice’s mission is to become the leading and most respected provider of mental health services for children and teens in eastern North Carolina.
Your Superpowers Must Include:
- A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field Full or associate licensure in North Carolina (LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent)
- A passion for working with children, teens, and families Experience (or strong interest) in Play Therapy, Sand Tray, Art Therapy, or other expressive approaches
- The ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with kids, teens, and parents A sense of humor, patience, and creativity – because working with kids is an adventure!
What You’ll Do:
- Engage kids in play-based therapy that helps them process emotions and develop coping skills
- Work with families to strengthen relationships and create a supportive home environment
- Provide individual and family therapy in an outpatient setting
- Continue learning – We love supporting our team by offering a continuing education stipend to help with ongoing training and certifications!
