Advanced Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center, PLLC is looking for a Front Desk team member. Are people always telling you how helpful and positive you are? As a part of our Front Desk Team, you would be responsible for greeting patients, checking them in, reviewing paperwork to verify it is complete, and ensuring that every visit a patient has in our facility is amazing. You are the face of the business; the first and last person a patient interacts with when they have an appointment.
This position also provides support to medical staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome all patients and visitors, answer any questions and ensure their paperwork is complete. Be the friendly face for our patients!
- Make appointments and answer questions, following up if necessary.
- Documentation management - Filing, faxing, scanning documentation, and performing any patient callbacks.
- Process payments and assist with any patient account inquiries.
- Check-in and discharge patients, assisting clinical staff to ensure the entire patient visit runs smoothly.
- Resetting the practice at the end of the day so it is ready to go in the morning. Ensuring everything is put away and notifying the main office if supplies are needed in any of the areas.
- Maintain a neat and clean work environment and professional appearance.
- Adhere to all relevant health and safety procedures.
- Respond to records requests and send out records as appropriate.
- Must have the ability to multi-task, handle the pressure of a fast-paced environment, and have a sense of ownership so when the office is slower, you look for additional tasks that need tending.
- ACUTE attention to detail is a MUST.
- Be reliable, consistent, and on time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records software.
- Proven customer service skills
- Prior experience in a medical office setting is a plus!
