POSITION SUMMARY:
The Regional Marketing Manager is a leader in growing AE’s market position through their understanding of key accounts, markets, technologies, and future market/technology directions. In addition to market research, the Marketing Manager works directly with strategic customers, Factory Applications Engineers, and AE’s field teams to intimately understand the current and emerging market technologies and trends. This role works closely with the Director of Marketing, the Product Group GM, and the Product Management Team in defining market and product/roadmap strategies to gain market share and grow AEs business. The Marketing Manager is accountable for AE successfully executing against growth strategies in their markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understand market segments, trends, and emerging technologies
Understand market technologies sufficiently to allow engagement with key industry technologists
Market share goals and strategies to achieve these goals
Competitive assessment, including market share, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive strategies
Identify market opportunities and portfolio gaps
Identify market requirements and work with Product Management, Applications Engineering and Design Engineering to define AE’s product and technology roadmaps
Key relationships in strategic accounts
Strategic accounts
Total Relationship Management (TRM) and Roadmap Meetings
Key role in the annual strategic planning process, defining market/region size, growth, and inflection points, and working with the Marketing and Engineering Managers to define strategies that align with AE’s corporate strategic goals
Working with Product Management to develop product positioning, value propositions and differentiation
Serve as consultant to peer groups within AE (Applications Engineering, Product Management, Design Engineering and Sales) in support of new product development and new business opportunities.
Must be able to influence decisions and actions with customers as well as AE’s Management Teams
Work with diverse cultures to build strong relationships within AE, with AE’s customers and with the worldwide industry leaders
EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
7+ years of customer interaction
7+ years in a marketing, technical or sales position in plasma processing
Desirable:
Working with foundries or semi equipment manufacturers in a marketing, key account technologist, or field manager role/capacity.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, material sciences or plasma processes
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $110,000 to $160,000 per year.
