What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometry Technician position at Advanced Eyecare Center?
Busy optometry office in the Green Bay area has an opening for an Optometry technician.
We pride ourselves in giving the best care to each patient using the newest technology available.
This is a Full-time position- Monday through Friday; with one Saturday (9am-noon) per month.
Optometric technicians perform a variety of tasks to assist the optometrist in eye examinations and disease progression testing.
Duties will include:
Record patient medical history
Pre-testing such as visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, pupil reflexes, visual field testing, pressure inside the eye, and blood pressure
Perform special testing on various instruments within office as dictated by the doctors
Be aware of and assist with patient flow
Checking in/out patients Completing/updating charges in practice software Answering phone calls and scheduling appointments as needed Verify and submit insurance claims using online portals
