Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring MTS Software Development Engineers to design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for enhancements and new products, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Deliver software components for solutions for Xilinx's MPSoC products. Define the software needs for future products on Warm Restart for Everest. Develop Reference Designs and Platforms, which include development of application software system software code. Integrate software components into domain specific software frameworks for video and multimedia. Develop documentation, demonstrations, and work on solving customer escalations in system software.
Perform work on the Xilinx MPSoC family of products. Utilize experience with computers and electronics, including computer hardware and software, applications, and programming, as well as knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years in job offered or closely related engineering role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:
1.Product development cycles;
2.Unix or Linux environments;
3.Python, C, C , Perl, TCL, or Shell;
4.Object oriented design, memory management, or multi-threading;
5.Software debugging using macOS, Linux, or Unix; and
6.Data structures.
