THE ROLE:

The focus of this role is to analyze, architect, specify, and collaborate to develop IPs and Features for AMD's next-gen Adaptive SoC products.

THE PERSON:

You have the passion for architecture development for heterogenous SoC with processor-systems. You are self-driven team player who can collaborate with other architects & engineers located in different time-zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn new things. Come join the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop novel SoC architecture solutions, and analyze PPA tradeoffs
• Define architecture for next-gen Adaptive SoCs incl. processor, high-speed IOs such as PCIe, interconnect, and memory subsystem.
• Define architecture specifications in a clear and concise language
• Perform feasibility analysis including area, performance, and power estimates.
• Collaborate with marketing and planning to specify requirements
• Work with architects, design/verification, and software for the IP development

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Strong foundation in SoC architecture and processor systems
• Strong analytical problem solving, and attention to details
• Good working knowledge of C, SystemC, and Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of CPU, AXI Interconnect, and I/O peripherals
• Knowledge of heterogenous SoC, FPGA, and ML/AI accelerators
• Experience in micro-architecture and digital design/verification
• Knowledge of boot, security, and RAS architectures
• Exposure to performance modeling and analysis is desired

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering
