THE ROLE:
The Versal Premium & HBM Series Senior Product Line Manager has business, strategy and product line ownership of our industry leading high end 7nm Adaptive SoC products. The successful candidate will lead a high-profile product line with strong growth potential and compelling value propositions vs GPUs, CPUs, and ASICs in key markets such as data center, wired and wireless networking.
THE PERSON:
Ideal for an energetic, motivated individual with strong business acumen, and excellent communications skills, this position entails a significant level of influence internally with other technology and marketing groups. The position requires technical command, experience and insights to develop and nurture our new Adaptive SoC products, including a strong technical background of high end FPGAs or adaptive SoCs including SERDES, signal processing, and packaging.
This individual possesses unwavering customer focus, critical thinking capabilities, and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Sound business judgment and the ability to work as part of a high performance team in a fast-paced environment with multiple cross-functional teams are critical for success. This position will include some travel for customer/field interaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- managing all aspects of new product introduction both internally with all factory stakeholders and externally by interfacing directly with customers and sales teams worldwide
- In-depth understanding of the wide spectrum of customer requirements, market trends and financial objectives and synthesize them into a cohesive and actionable product line strategy.
- Prepare and present a compelling Adaptive SoC, software and solution value proposition to the field and customers incorporating AMD's distinctive competence.
- Collaborate with sales, FAEs, vertical market business teams, and system architects to drive awareness of Adaptive SoC hardware and software capabilities, as well as demonstrate the value of these solutions.
- Present and demonstrate Versal Premium & HBM series solutions, products and technologies to customers.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Semiconductor experience and sales or marketing experience in the semiconductor industry, with a proven track record
- Proven experience in successfully bringing new technologies and/or business models to marketing and driving market adoption.
- Demonstrate customer empathy and experience in identification of customer needs, as well as an understanding of customer focused design practices
- A passion for winning and achieving challenging revenue, design win and market share targets
- Knowledge of FPGAs/Adaptive SoCs, CPUs, and/or GPUs preferred
- Development experience with FPGAs/Adaptive SoCs, CPUs, and/or GPUs is desirable
- 3 years of wired or wireless networking experience is desirable
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Master's degree in technical discipline or MBA is desirable
