Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Audio Video (AV) Project Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing the successful execution of AV integration projects in the commercial and luxury home environments, such as corporate offices, education facilities, hospitality venues, healthcare, and manufacturing institutions. This role bridges the gap between client expectations, design specifications, and field implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.. The Project Manager collaborates closely with a dedicated internal team, including Account Executives, Project Administrators, Project Supervisors, and a highly skilled installation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of AV projects from kickoff to completion.
- Review the scope of work, engineering documents, and client requirements.
- Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the project.
- Conduct project meetings, site walks, and status updates with stakeholders.
- Manage change orders, expectations, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate the preparation of all engineering drawings and documents
- Coordinate In-house fabrication to ensure all material is produced on time and address any delays with the project administrator
- Prepare all submittals, RFI, and change order requests promptly to ensure no delays
- Coordinate and supervise internal teams, including installers, programmers, and technicians.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Manage subcontractors and third-party vendors as needed.
- Track project costs, labor, and expenses to maintain profitability.
- Submit project documentation including daily reports, RFI responses, and punch lists.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate and submitted per contract terms.
- Oversee installation quality and ensure compliance with AV standards and specifications.
- Coordinate final walkthroughs, system commissioning, and client training.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced skills in interpreting blueprints and specifications.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet) and the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sites
- Strong math and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of commercial AV systems, including video conferencing, control systems, audio distribution, displays, and networked AV.
- Project management experience in AV or construction-related fields
- CTS, or AVIXA certification.
- Experience with systems from Crestron, QSC, QSYS, Shure, and/or similar manufacturers.
- Familiarity with construction and safety standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Working Conditions:
- Field and office-based work with site visits as required.
- May involve occasional travel and after-hours work depending on project needs.
