Description
Advanced Process Technologies, Inc. (APT) is looking to add a Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for pulling materials for shipment, receiving inventory, managing inventory, tooling, building pallets/shipping supports and assisting with vehicle maintenance. Located in Cokato, MN, you will work at our headquarters alongside our experts in engineering, manufacturing, and the food and dairy industry.
Job Responsibilities
· Daily, weekly, and monthly equipment inspections on forklifts, trucks, power tools, and telehandler
· Pull materials to fulfill orders to include sheet material, pipe, tubing, and bar stock using appropriate equipment
· Organize materials for shipment or delivery to production area
· Put away new materials and installation return materials
· Clean area at the end of every shift and maintain a safe work area
· Keeping track of inventory in assigned area, participate in cycle counts, and wall to wall inventory
· Build pallets and shipping supports per job requirement, develop truck maps for large or complex shipments
· Manage shipping material inventory and work with purchasing to reorder as needed
· Perform all duties following APT safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions to manager
· Organize incoming materials by project and maintain records of project location
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
· 2 years of shipping & receiving experience
· Ability to safely operate a forklift and complete training as required
· Clean driving record
· Ability to use hand and power tools
· Strong ability to multi-task, maintain attention to detail and organization
· Demonstrated strong communication skills
· Ability to work under limited supervision
· Ability to lift 75 pounds as needed
· Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Preferred:
· 2 years of experience with stainless steel material including sheet, pipe, tube, and bar stock
· Experience in food processing industry
· Telehandler operation experience
· Construction background
