Advanced Regional Center for Ankle and Foot Care, with offices located in Altoona, State College, Huntingdon, Ebensburg and Bedford is searching for a full time Radiology Technician/Medical Assistant to work in a multi-specialty orthopedic and podiatry practice. This position is primarily Monday-Friday, with travel between the Altoona and State College locations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Performs a variety of technical tasks in operating X-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physicians.
- Adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
- Perform accurate X-rays as ordered by the provider while practicing radiation safety precautions.
- Retrieve and archive radiographic reports; create/burn CDs in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Adjust equipment for proper exposure in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
- Provide hands-on clinical care including assisting the physician with small procedures, post-op care, wound care, dispensing DME, educating patients on diagnosis and follow-up care.
- Perform detailed and accurate data collection during clinical intake of patients, including taking and recording vital signs and patient history,
- Provide fracture care and casting.
- Complete appropriate forms and documents, charting.
- Rooming patients.
- Obtaining and updating medical histories and medications.
- Charting/documenting in EHR.
- Hands on clinical care including wound care, post-op care, DME dispensing, patient instruction, assisting in small procedures.
- Measuring for, fitting and dispensing diabetic shoes and inserts.
- Assist patients, as needed, with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam prep, etc.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Licensed and accredited by ARRT and State (if applicable by law)
- Maintain CEU/CME as applicable for licensure
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and terminology
- Extreme attention to detail
- Self-motivation and flexibility
- Positive team player with a high energy level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills; work independently as well as with a team
- Must possess exemplary oral and written communication skills with an excellent bedside manner
EXPERIENCE:
