This is with our long time client a global chemical and plastics company which is performing very well.

Salary up to $150k plus 15% bonus.

EXPERIENCE:

BS in Engineering but will consider relevant experience with 5 or more years of managerial experience from some type of plastics in their background ideally with Extrusion and or compounding. Must possess strong leadership and people skills who can lead and motivate and able to create a positive and inclusive environment.


This is a 60 person plastics compounding plant. This will report to the plant manager and this role is a step up from production manager with a focus on continuous improvement and safety. This role will have Logistics, R&D, Safety, Quality, HSE and Maintenance reporting into this role.

Position Title: Plant Manager

Location: Denver, PA

1. MAIN PURPOSE (Briefly state the job's overall objective)

Ensure Safety and Productivity: Monitor and maintain site services and ancillary equipment to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Senior operational leader with full responsibility and accountability for the establishment and management of Safety, Health, Quality, Environment (SHQE), Production, Maintenance, Planning, and Logistics functions. Ensures compliance with all company policies, regulatory standards, and drives operational excellence through continuous improvement.

Position is responsible for adhering to all Company safety, health, and loss control policies and procedures. Participates in safety, health and loss control training so that at a minimum a general knowledge of applicable ISRS elements, OSHA, and state requirements is maintained. Responsible for ensuring all direct reports receive required safety, health and loss control training and monitors employee’s performance for compliance along with time and attendance for all shifts.

▪ Lead, motivate, and develop site staff; foster a positive, safe, and high-performance culture.

▪ Manage and direct all site operations, including SHQE, production, maintenance, planning, and warehousing.



▪ Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other regulatory standards; ensure company health, safety, quality, and environmental management systems are maintained by appropriate staff.

▪ Accountable for product quality, addressing customer complaints, and implementing corrective actions.

▪ Develop, improve, and implement operations and production plans in line with best practices and global company standards.

▪ Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce costs and increase productivity.

▪ Manage site budgets and capital expenditures; define and implement metrics for cost and operational improvements.

▪ Set operational goals, participate in strategic planning, and contribute to senior management meetings.

▪ Liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, contractors, and customers to ensure effective operations and stakeholder engagement.

▪ Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

  • Manages multiple departments to establish a high-performance culture across all functions.
  • Influences site leaders and cross-functional teams both directly and indirectly.
  • Responsible for significant impact on operational costs, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Navigates complex supply chains, vendor relationships, and internal stakeholder interests.



  1. Operate with a “safety first” mindset prioritizing the maintenance and operations teams’ safety, including but, not limited to, proper PPE, training and awareness of hazards, etc.
  2. Lead, motivate, and develop site staff; foster a positive, safe, and high-performance culture.
  3. Manage and direct all site operations, including SHQE, production, maintenance, planning, and warehousing.
