Advanced Structural Technologies (AST) is an industry leading manufacturer of rotary forged and flow formed products for the automotive, defense, aerospace and alternative energy markets. As a fully integrated contract manufacturing business, all process steps are completed on site in ASA’s 100,000 sq. ft. facility.
AST is located in Oxnard California, the “Gateway to California’s Central Coast”, located 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles and 2 miles from the Pacific Ocean and California’s Pacific Coast Highway.
In this job shop environment, you will have 100-120 work orders in process simultaneously comprised of both tooling, development and production requirements. Production parts are comprised of aftermarket wheels and wheel components and space/aerospace product. The ability to organize and manage a high number of priorities is of paramount importance. Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develop policies, practices and systems that ensure the smooth and reliable flow of materials through the production process.
· Issue work orders as appropriate to shop for customer and internal orders.
· Create and maintain production schedules to ensure customer commitments are being met and work is efficiently scheduled in the shop.
· Communicate plan changes to relevant functions throughout the organization.
· Provide reliable commit dates from functional department heads to support customer orders.
· Responsible for ensuring all labor and material transaction on work orders are being charged accurately and in a timely manner.
· Ensure transactions on production work orders are being completed properly and correctly.
Education / Experience:
· BA or BS in appropriate field.
· 2 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Prior experience with planning/scheduling in a job cost manufacturing environment preferred.
· Comfortable working with ERP systems.
· Good organization, communications and time management skills.
· Proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel)

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
