Position Summary:

Advancia Government Services is seeking a qualified Heavy Motor Vehicle Operator who transports materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments such as: plants, freight depots, warehouses, etc. Straight truck, over 4 tons, usually 10 wheels.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Load or unload truck with or without helpers, make minor mechanical repairs/conduct PMCS.
• Required to operate in the performance of this contract, such as, but not limited to forklifts, tractors, trucks, dump trucks, locomotive, front end loaders, lawn mowers, bobcats, military unique items, etc.
• Clean driving record, free of convictions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or for felonies involving motor vehicle use.
• Understanding of driving laws and regulations.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Three (3) years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Clean driving record, free of convictions for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or for felonies involving motor vehicle use.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:

• Light groundskeeping and housekeeping around facilities/work area.
• Some walking and standing required.
• You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
• Ability to safely work in various weather conditions.
• Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
• Requires standing for long periods of time.
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
