The community you’ll be caring for: 401 PALMETTO ST, New Smyrna Beach, 32168
The role you’ll contribute:
Conducts medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Documents and Charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department /hospital policy and procedures
- Educates patients, family members, and caregivers about patient deficits
- Provides discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs
- May oversee the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- High school Education or equivalent required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Licensed in applicable state as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Temporary State permit as Physical Therapist Assistant
