What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rad Control Tech position at Advetage Solutions?
AdVETage is looking for a few good RCTs for the Spring Outage at Brunswick! We want you to be a part of our team.
We need qualified and experienced people to provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activates during the outage. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned commensurate with individual certifications, qualifications, and skills. Types of tasks RCTs may perform include but are not limited to:
- radiation and contamination surveys
- release of personnel and material
- ALARA planning
- assisting with decontamination activities
- coverage of primary work activities
Education / Training Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge
- Education and experience meeting or exceeding the requirements of ANSI Standard N-3.1 (1978).
- US Naval Nuclear Power experience can be used in place of commercial experience
- Competition or capable of completing of GAP training / CIRP Task of the NISP-RP-12 (Nuclear Industry Standard Process)( AP3 Standard Task Evaluations)
Minimum Skill Requirements and Accountabilities
- Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access
- Safe use and proper operation of applicable equipment
- Use and adhere to station policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate and interact with co-workers, Supervisors and Sponsors to ensure Safe and Quality job completion for all assignments
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written communications, technical requirements, procedures and directives associated with working at a nuclear plant
- Ability to climb and work in adverse conditions such as high temperature areas, confined spaces, and heights.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to be respirator qualified
Pay:
$40-47/hour plus per diem ($178/day) and travel pay during offsite training
Salary : $40 - $47
