Director of Nursing
AdviniaCare at Newton-Wellesley in Wellesley, MA is in search of a Director of Nursing who will assume the total responsibility for the deliverance of quality resident care through the development and management of nursing personnel, fiscal resources and the maintenance of a safe environment.
A Director of Nursing who will oversee the nursing staff and overall nursing operations and be a leader with proven managerial skills in a fast-paced environment. Their duties include evaluating and directing all new and current nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department, and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies. Working cohesively with the Administrator, each with different responsibilities, they will reinforce teamwork within other departments and their staff. Together they will build a support system for the good of the facility, ultimately meeting all the goals of the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- B.S. degree preferred.
- Current R.N. registration, within state.
- Four years’ experience preferred with a minimum of two years long term care experience.
- A minimum of two years previous leadership experience, preferably in long-term care.
- Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices, methods and tools.
- They should also have experience in staff development, delegation, legal compliance, operations and budget management, and treatment planning.
