Advocare Pain Institute of South Jersey provides advanced comprehensive treatment for a variety of pain syndromes including spine and musculoskeletal conditions. Our goal is for patients to return to a normal and productive life by decreasing or eliminating acute or chronic pain. We use diagnostic techniques and state-of-the-art diagnostic treatment modalities to determine the cause of the pain and treat those nerves to alleviate the pain.

The Medical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for performing general office duties, including scheduling appointments, filing, and providing information to patients over the phone and during office visits.

  • Greeting and checking patients in a fast-paced medical office
  • Answering telephones and responding appropriately to client calls and inquiries
  • Collecting patient balances and all necessary healthcare insurance information and paperwork
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Assisting the Doctor and controlling the flow of the patients in the office
  • Making chart notes and notes for the Doctor

Medical Administrative Coordinator Skills/Abilities

  • Independent work is required
  • Dependable
  • Task-Oriented
  • Accurate typing and date entry skills
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of HIPPA requirements regarding patient confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize job duties to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Have organizational skills to maintaining logs and provide follow-up with other departments
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as patient charts, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  •  Ability to write reports, correspondence, and patient notes when requested.
  • Ability to speak effectively and clearly to patients and their family members.

Medical Administrative Coordinator Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate
  • Experience working in a medical office
  • Experience working with an EMR system
