JOB SUMMARY:
As a phlebotomist, you will work as a member of the team to provide care and support to patients under thedirection of the Physician and supporting staff members. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilizeand benefit from the clinical services we offer.
JOB DUTIES:
- Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medicalrecords; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Must be able to perform routine phlebotomy and demonstrated education and clinical training in phlebotomy sills and techniques.
- Perform routine tests for use in the treatment and diagnosis of disease using standard techniques and equipment according to the physician's order.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Other duties as assigned
- Perform Quality control procedures; refrigerator and room temperature logs.
- Must be willing to work occasional overtime.
- Must be willing to work occasional weekends
- Must be willing to help out occasionally in other locations
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience
Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Must complete a Phlebotomist training course
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
