Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians involved in battery system assembly, testing, and validation.
- Support engineering development from prototype builds through to production ramp-up.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts on the floor.
- Assist in integrating electro-mechanical systems including sensors, actuators, wiring harnesses, and control units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, procurement, quality) for parts sourcing, DFM, and vendor follow-up.
- Enforce documentation practices including BOMs, build instructions, and test reports.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives and help implement SPC, automation, and 5S practices.
- Maintain team safety and regulatory compliance
- Provide mentorship and guidance to technicians and junior engineers.
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of preferred hands-on experience in battery system assembly, testing, or engineering (Li-ion preferred)
- Prior experience supervising or mentoring team members in a production or engineering setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechatronic systems—mechanical electrical integration.
- Comfortable working on the shop floor and interfacing with engineering and production teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communicator with the ability to coordinate across departments and lead day-to-day team efforts.
Salary : $95,000 - $125,000
