Engineering Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians involved in battery system assembly, testing, and validation.
• Support engineering development from prototype builds through to production ramp-up.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts on the floor.
• Assist in integrating electro-mechanical systems including sensors, actuators, wiring harnesses, and control units.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (supply chain, procurement, quality) for parts sourcing, DFM, and vendor follow-up.
• Enforce documentation practices including BOMs, build instructions, and test reports.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and help implement SPC, automation, and 5S practices.
• Maintain team safety and regulatory compliance
• Provide mentorship and guidance to technicians and junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of preferred hands-on experience in battery system assembly, testing, or engineering (Li-ion preferred)
• Prior experience supervising or mentoring team members in a production or engineering setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechatronic systems—mechanical electrical integration.
• Comfortable working on the shop floor and interfacing with engineering and production teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Strong communicator with the ability to coordinate across departments and lead day-to-day team efforts.
