Critical Care Registered Nurses provide advanced care for patients suffering from conditions such as heart attacks, strokes, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Duties include assessing and implementing care plans, administering life support, assisting with procedures, monitoring vital signs, operating medical equipment (e.g., ventilators/IABP), administering fluids/medications, and providing family support and education. ICU nurses may also handle pre/post-op patients and participate in case management or administrative duties.
Requirements
Certifications: ACLS & BLS (AHA)
Licensure: Kentucky RN license
Experience: Recent ICU experience in a hospital setting
Floating: Must be willing to float to Tele/LTAC and Kindred Louisville main campus depending on census
Shift: Varies, depending on department needs
