Position Overview:
The packing technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently packing cannabis products to meet company standards and comply with California's regulations. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety and quality. The technician will follow the standard operating procedures and report to the Packing Supervisor.


Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate weighing, packaging, and labeling of cannabis products according to standard operating procedures.
• Thoroughly inspect products for quality to guarantee they are defect-free and meet company standards.
• Keep your work area clean and organized, following good manufacturing practices and safety protocols.
• Operate and troubleshoot packaging equipment as required.
• Keep track of inventory levels and promptly report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Adhere to all state and local cannabis regulations, including proper labeling, tracking, and documentation.
• Assist with other production tasks such as product transfers and inventory counts.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining product quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the team to improve workflow and suggest any ideas for enhancements.
• Perform counting, sorting, labeling, assembling, bagging, sealing, and boxing duties.
• Clean packaging equipment and the facility.
• Maintain strict inventory records of products, materials, and equipment.
• Foster a culture of safety and attentiveness.


Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in cannabis production or packaging role is a plus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling repetitive tasks.
• Paying attention to detail and being accurate is essential.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Being flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and workloads is necessary.
• Remain focused and work efficiently under pressure.
• Basic math skills for accurate weighing and packaging.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Able to pass a background check as required by California state regulations.
