Aero Global Logistics' mission is to be a comprehensive and progressive dedicated delivery service and 3rd party logistics provider. Although our core business revolves around transportation, we have a strong belief that data and systems automation play a key role in the ability to efficiently and effectively manage time sensitive operations. With this in mind, we have built many modules to support our clients and manage our internal business processes.
We are searching for an experienced Logistics Manger. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations in one or more of the following disciplines; Dedicated Fleet, Cross Docking, Pool Distribution, and Warehousing. Excellent verbal and written skills are a must as well as the ability to work with other locations to accomplish specific goals. This person must be a proven leader and possess the ability to think on their feet and make sound decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete oversight of Local Operations
- Responsible for Location financial performance
- Monitoring budget and operational metrics while diagnosing and improving processes and procedures to ultimately improve performance and profitability.
- Oversight of driver personnel, and fostering customer relationships
- Responsible for general staff training and development Qualification, hiring, training and retention of drivers
- Compliance with all regulatory requirements and any associated reporting
- Growth of the operation while still maintaining superior service to existing customers
- Driver and office personnel payroll submission
- Local point of contact for human resources
- Other duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations and the ability to operate in compliance with these regulations as well as within company guidelines
- Solid Managerial experience in the Transportation industry
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to analyze daily operational metrics to monitor operational efficiency, equipment utilization, performance and profitability
- The ability to motivate and lead both the drivers and dispatch personnel to meet and exceed the customers’ expectations and the goals of the company
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to manage, reward and discipline all employees equitably
- Adept at problem solving and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to alter work schedule as needed
