For 40 years, Aero Simulation, Inc. (ASI) has provided quality flight training devices to the US Military. ASI has successfully built numerous training systems with a primary focus on aircrew and maintenance training systems. POSITION SUMMARY

The Program/Project Manager is primarily responsible to ensure that all contractual requirements are met on schedule and within budget for his/ her assigned programs. This will include profit and loss responsibility for the assigned projects. 

 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serves as the primary point of contact for the customers of their assigned programs. 

2. Leads the planning and execution of assigned programs, including monitoring and control activities to ensure performance matches plans. 

3. Serves as the lead in efforts to identify risks and opportunities to their programs and to develop and implement plans to avoid or realize them, respectively. 

4. Provide guidance to the organization’s assigned Program Administrator(s)

5. May participate in proposal development, as well as other tasks assigned by the Director of Programs. 

 
 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY - 0 TO 3 Years

MID – 3 to 7 Years

SENIOR – 7 Years

1. Experience managing defense programs valued at $2.0M or greater.

2. Experience in the management of programs requiring Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and techniques.

3. Experience identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risk throughout the program life cycle.

4. Experience clearly communicate program status, issues, risks, opportunities and plans to internal senior management

5. Strong Microsoft Project and Office skills.

6. Experience managing software development activities is desired.

 
 

ADDITIONAL REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

2. Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.

3. Ability to adapt communication style and messaging to different audiences.

4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, ensuring stakeholder expectations are managed appropriately.

5. Ability to work in a project-oriented, fast paced environment to meet deadlines in both collaborative settings and independently.

6. Proficiency in common business software (Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, Visio, SharePoint).

 
 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business, project management, engineering or similar field 


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

1. Due to contractual requirements must be a United States Citizen

2. Must be able to pass an initial background check.

3. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Department of Defense security clearance. Employee/selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (as required)

4. Travel (CONUS and/or OCONUS) is required to support on-site integration, testing, and acceptance which may include extended periods at customer locations.

5. ASI is a Drug Free Workplace where applicants and employees are required to successfully pass pre-employment and Random drug testing.

 
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

2. Must be able to perform normal office duties (sitting for long periods at a desk or while attending meetings).

3. Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS via multiple types of transportation to include car and airplane.

4. Must be able to climb stairs to enter and exit a simulator.

5. Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department, or line of business.

 
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Work is primarily performed in an office environment consisting of offices and cubicles with low to moderate noise and bright or dim lighting.

2. The work is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures.

3. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as external customers.
