JOB TITLE: Tool Grinder

REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager

SHIFT: 1st Shift

PAY RATE: $22.00/Hour to $35.00/Hour based on experience

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:

• Setup and operate Ewag WS-11 manual tool grinder to support the company’s CNC machines.
• Review blueprints to determine grinding procedures and to plan machine setups and operational sequences.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues with Setup Machinists.
• Select and mount grinding wheels on machines, according to specifications, using hand tools and applying knowledge of abrasives and grinding procedures.
• Inspect and measure tooling.
• Communicate problems and procedural issues with appropriate supervision and departments.
• Verify accuracy and completeness of all paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of manual tool grinding experience
• Experience operating Ewag WS-11 is a plus
• Experience grinding straight flute drills with multiple diameters and boring and grooving bars is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and associated specifications
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with all other personnel
• Ability to follow directions and perform complex duties
• Ability to perform shop math
• Good hand and eye coordination to operate equipment and work with small parts
• Detail oriented; problem solver; active contributor
• Flexible in work assignments, able to multi-task, able to meet deadlines
• Good manual dexterity
• Good interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

• Manual Tool Grinding: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Gilbert, AZ 85233: Relocate before starting work (Required)
