Job Title: Inventory and Logistics Specialist

Classification: Non-Exempt

Pay: Competitive Hourly

Location: Addison, TX (KADS)

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00AM-2:30PM. Overtime as needed.

Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager

Required Education and Experience:

• Minimum three years of experience performing incoming inspection of materials, preferably in either an FAA Part 145 Repair Station, or similar experience at a Part 121, 125, or 135 Operator.
• Must be familiar with Part 145 and EASA requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Must be able to manage inventory, including issuing materials.
• Must have forklift experience and obtain internal forklift certification

Primary Duties:

The Inventory and Logistics Specialist is responsible for the receiving inspection of materials, material control, shelf-life program, calibrated tool program, receiving components for repair and coordinating/arranging all incoming and outgoing shipment as well as any other duties as assigned by their reporting manager.

• Must adhere to all safety standards established by The Company and regulatory agencies.
• Interpret technical manuals, figures and drawings as needed.
• Comply with quality assurance, accuracy of documentation and auditing of maintenance activity.
• Report any incident immediately to Quality & Safety in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Ensure the proper tagging of Aircraft components, parts and panels, and make sure that they are appropriately stored.
• Responsible for materials inventory and materials acquisition activities.
• Logistics experience with shipping and receiving with companies such as FedEx, UPS and DHL, as well as coordinating customer arranged shipments and pick up.
• Perform the receiving inspection of incoming materials to support the 145 Repair Station.
• Scheduled and/or unscheduled weekend and evening coverage rotations as needed.
• Complete paperwork and perform administrative tasks in relation to the position.
• Oversee all logistics associated with AQRD-145 movement of parts and supplies.

• Must work well under stress and successfully balance multiple priorities.
• Must have a drive/passion for the Aerospace industry.
• Must have flexibility to work changing shifts including on-call / AOG coverage to include nights and weekends, on an as-needed and/or short notice basis.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and auto insurance with the ability to obtain airport access permission. This position requires escorting incoming and outgoing deliveries on airport secured ramp and taxiway.

Required Physical Abilities:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is approximately 50% physically demanding work: moving items, opening boxes, lifting, carrying, pulling carts, operating a forklift.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder.
• While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to read, count, and write accurately.
• Ability to work in an airport hangar (at times hot/cold/dusty/loud) and/or office cubicle environment.
