We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Shipping Clerk to join our team. This position primarily involves handling the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of products and materials to meet customer demands. This role will involve the testing and troubleshooting of our access control products, with the potential for additional responsibilities in customer service support.
Key Responsibilities:
· Warehouse Operations: Receive incoming shipments, inspect and verify the accuracy of the items received against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.
· Storage: Safely and efficiently store items within the warehouse, ensuring they are properly organized and labeled.
· Shipping: Accurately pick and pack orders for delivery, ensuring items are in excellent condition and appropriately labeled.
· Stock Management: Update systems, assist with regular stock counts and maintain high product quality.
· Testing of Units: Conduct testing and troubleshooting on units/products to ensure they meet specifications and are in working order.
· Working with Small Components: Handle and manipulate small components with precision and care, ensuring their safe storage and inclusion in customer orders.
· Health & Safety: Continuously improve housekeeping and health and safety standards.
· Customer Service: Provide customer service support by assisting with order inquiries, resolving minor customer issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when working with small components.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment.
· Good communication and teamwork skills, including customer service skills.
· Computer skills for stock management.
· Problem solving
Possible Progression:
The successful candidate in this role may have the opportunity to progress to a Technical Support Operative position within our organization. This would involve additional training and responsibilities related to technical support for our products.
