Salary Range: $26.17 Hourly
Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the safe operation of the mixer, extruder and other related equipment to produce plastic compound pellets.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Responsible for proper extruder operation to maintain a quality product.
- Set up, tear down, adjust and operate all aspects of an extruder and related equipment, including quality checks, to produce a variety of plastic compounds.
- Maintain a safe, orderly and clean work area.
- Complete all necessary paperwork such as production reports, quality reports, pallet tags, etc.
- Direct and assist Material Handler with their job duties.
- Perform Material Handler duties as required.
Qualifications
Required Education, Experience & Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment along with good verbal, written and interpersonal relations skills required. Basic math skills, good mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills and forklift driving experience are necessary. Previous extrusion experience preferred. Job requires occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds.
- Must be able to work a 12 hour schedule. 7pm-7am.
