Brief Description:

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance person to join our team on the day shift. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs on a wide range of equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have broad hands-on experience in several trades and be comfortable responding to urgent fire/security calls as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and building systems to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Conduct fabrication and light welding tasks as needed.
• Perform light automotive and diesel maintenance.
• Complete general carpentry and roofing repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring schematics for troubleshooting and installations.
• Maintain grounds, including mowing and light landscaping tasks.
• Respond to fire and security system alerts on a rotating on-call basis.
• Maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition.
• Keep accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Other duties as assigned such as ad hoc projects

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in general maintenance or related field.
• Working knowledge of:
• Fabrication and welding
• Light automotive and diesel repair
• Carpentry and roofing
• Electrical systems and wiring schematics
• Plumbing
• Groundskeeping equipment and techniques
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable and available for occasional after-hours on-call responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical training or certification in a related field.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.

Position:  Full-time

Work Hours:  Monday-Friday, 7am - 3:30pm

Location:  Rock Island, IL

Hourly Rate:  $25.00-29.00
