Hospice Music Therapist part time

Affinity Care of Ohio -

• Current MT-BC certification
• Reliable vehicle and comfortability traveling between sessions (mileage reimbursement)
• Hospice music therapy experience preferred (could mention a certain number of years experience as a music therapist with a different population to substitute)
• Ability to properly facilitate music therapy assessment, treatment planning, and termination across caseload in accordance with AMTA standards
• Ability to facilitate individual and group music therapy sessions with patients of varying hospice diagnoses and within memory care units.
• Comfortability with public speaking and program advocacy / willingness to participate in presentations with new facilities
• Experience working as a collaborative part of an interdisciplinary team
• Knowledge of proper music therapy documentation, clear and concise communication of observed patient behaviors...
• Bereavement work with family members after patient passing
• Professional and compassionate presence within facilities
• Musical knowledge across various genres, cultures, and religions.
• Proficiency in primary instrument and ability to utilize voice as an effective therapeutic too
