Due to the growth of certain languages spoken in our area, we need to hire more interpreters.ResponsibilitiesRender accurate, comprehensive and professional interpreting services per the national Code of Ethics.Interpreting activity is performed in compliance with the IMIA Standards of Practice, National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Health Care, and the Code of Ethics.Maintain professional standards by attending continuing education trainings to maintain the highest standards for delivery of service. Speak, read, and write fluently in ENGLISH and TARGET languageQualificationsAt least a high school educationThe ability to speak English and at least one other language at a fluent level ( or Sign Language)Willing to be trained in medical or legal interpreting (offered periodically in Cincinnati for a fee)Sensitive to cultures other than your ownLegally able to work in the United StatesWilling to do screening including: TB test, drug test, and FBI background checkAble to provide documentation of MMR/Varicella immunizationsExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skillsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
