Responsibilities
- Support controls process improvement projects on all manufacturing equipment.
- Provide hands-on improvement requiring point to point wiring, specifying and installing electrical components, troubleshooting controls/wiring, all drive and component setup, and HMI/PLC programming.
- Support and manage controls contractors on responsible projects. Develop and maintain scopes of work, schedules, budgets, quotes, etc.
- Provide support of new equipment installations as well as modifications and repairs to existing equipment.
- Maintain software revision levels and storage on all program files
- Manage Obsolescence of aging electronic equipment and it’s replacement
- Provide competent root-cause problem solving with real sustainable solutions.

Qualifications
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing Controls Projects including
- Automation and improvements
- PLC Programming (GE, Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
- Drive setup and programming (Brown Belts, Variable Frequency Drives)
- HMI programming, recipes, etc.
- Networks including Profinet, Ethernet, Remote I/O, etc.
- Panel building, layout and wiring design, installation, etc.
- Point to point wiring design and installation
- Electrical component setup and troubleshooting
- Experienced in electrical circuit/wiring design
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical design/drawings
- Proven Process engineering, Project management and Root cause problem solving skills
- Hands-on project leader, completes small projects with little to no required support
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, AutoCAD, etc.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering Degree preferred
