Salary Range- $45,000 - $50,000 a year
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing assistance to the Program Director and Operation team members with direction from the Director of Operations.
- Communicate daily with the Director of Operations for work-site assignments.
- Participate and support operations department with conducting facility walkthrough, room inspections, locker inspections, preparation for Callahan inspections, and other funderrelated activities, as requested.
- Provide ongoing support and training to operation teams (i.e., de-escalation strategies, crisis intervention, etc.)
- Identify and recommend improvements to the Program Director to address gaps in the operation team day-to-day activities (i.e., reinforce search protocols, shift log, issue spotting).
- Provide AAPCI DHS Homeless shelters with supplies, tools, and other intra-delivery items (i.e., mail, locks, paystubs, bedframes, mattresses, lockers) for program efficiency.
- Works collaboratively with Program Director's and Shift Supervisors to identify ongoing staff performance issues.
- Participate in progress corrective action concerning Shift Supervisors and Residential Aide positions, as needed.
- Train new operation staff in according to DHS and AAPCI operation policy and procedures.
- Provide staffing support and stability for high-level resident activity in the shelter, as directed by the Director of Operations.
- Assist with staff coverage in collaboration with the Director of Operations and the Program Directors.
- Oversee accuracy of reporting bed vacancies to DHS vacancy control unit, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations, Program Leaders, and Contracted Guards/Security Leaders to improve day-to-day safety and security of shelter operations.
- Facilitate operation team meetings in collaboration with the Program Directors.
- Travel to Sites may be required.
Qualifications
Minimal Requirements:
- Associate Degree preferred in a related field with at least 2 plus years' experience or
- High School Equivalency/High School Diploma with at least 3 plus years' experience in a residential setting.
- Supervisory experience managing a team of 4-8 members on varying shifts
- Experience full time for a period of at least 2 years with a documented history of progressive responsibilities
- Valid state issued drivers' license
Other Qualifications:
- Proficient with knowledge and use of CARES software.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills with focus on providing excellent client services;
- Strong written communication skills and ability to complete reports as assigned
- Demonstrate ability to interact effectively and collaboratively with a diverse community of residents, program staff, and external vendors;
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and apply problem-solving skills;
- Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented and outcomes-focused environment.
Certification Qualifications:
- Food Handler Certificate, Preferred.
- CPR/First Aid- Preferred
