TANF CLERK

TANF clerk will, support office activities by answering phones promptly, copying documents,

and filing paperwork. The flourish clerk will also interact directly with customers,

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

· Signing TANF Customers in and out

· Verification of Customer’s time off site

· Maintain accurate and complete record keeping and files for all customers referred by IDHS.

· Maintain an individual case record on each customer to document services provided, activities assigned, and supportive services issued.

· Maintain a hard copy of the actual documentation of attendance and retain it in the Customer’s case record.

· Ensure the Customer case record contains a copy of all relevant documents as applicable including, but not limited to:

a. Referral Forms (Form 2151) in the WVS/IES

b. Responsibility and Services Plans (Form 4003) in the WVS/IES

c. RSP Weekly Attendance and Activity Reports (Form 4006) in the WVS/IES

d. Change/Progress Report Forms (Form 2151A) in the WVS/IES

e. Employment and Training Customer Lists (Form 4333)

f. Employment and Training Staffing (Form 4334)

g. Detailed Documentation of completed Job Contacts

h. Case Management Meetings and Case Notes

i. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems, either manually or using a computer

j. Make sure finished work is free of mistakes when performing data processing or writing letters or other documents

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Must have a high school diploma or GED.

· Must enjoy working with people.

· Must be able to use the computer.

· Must pass a background check.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.
