ABOUT AAV
Afuang Audio Visual & Low Voltage System (AAV) is a growing AV and low-voltage firm with a strong foundation in design-build engineering, CAD drafting, and technical documentation services, supporting integrators and commercial clients nationwide.
Our core business has been design-build and drafting services. As we continue to grow, we are actively expanding and showcasing our onsite installation, commissioning, programming, and turnkey AV and low-voltage integration capabilities, including the sale of equipment through distributor and reseller relationships.
This role represents AAV’s first dedicated business development hire and plays a key role in helping the company establish and grow its direct end-user presence, particularly in California.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Junior Business Development Lead is a growth-stage role focused on building new opportunities, developing early pipeline, and supporting AAV’s transition into a full-service integrator.
This is not a role with a handed-off pipeline. This is a builder role and you either have prior pipelines or start new ones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities within defined vertical markets
- Generate and qualify self-sourced outbound leads
- Initiate conversations with end users, consultants, and facilities stakeholders
- Communicate AAV’s capabilities across design-build services, drafting, installation, commissioning, programming, and turnkey AV and low-voltage solutions
- Support founder-led sales efforts and assist with opportunity development and closing
- Coordinate internally to gather project information for scoping and pricing
- Maintain basic CRM and pipeline tracking
- Provide feedback on market needs, messaging, and opportunities
COMPENSATION
Base Salary Starting: $34,000 annually
Commission: 10% of gross profit generated on closed deals
6-MONTH PERFORMANCE REVIEW & COMMISSION UPSIDE
This role includes a formal six-month performance review. Based on performance, commission may be reassessed and increased up to 20% of gross profit. Performance will justify increased upside.
ANNUAL COMPENSATION REVIEW & GUARANTEED PAY INCREASE
If AAV achieves measurable year-over-year sales growth, this role will receive a guaranteed increase in base compensation following the annual assessment.
