Software Engineer
Headsight (Bremen, IN), a subsidiary of AGCO(Duluth, GA), is a leading provider of control systems for agricultural harvesters. We provide solutions that improve harvest effectiveness and efficiency by automating machine functions.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide engineering expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of software on-farm harvesting equipment for precision agriculture applications.

The successful candidate will have a desire to work in a hands-on and collaborative environment where software development brings innovative solutions to the farmer’s field.
This position requires leadership skills, teamwork, and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization.
Job Responsibilities

Work directly with the business to support various projects and solutions using an Agile practice.

Utilize problem-solving skills to understand process pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.

Design end-to-end software solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.

Provide responsive customer support for software solutions developed.

Prepared and able to travel. U.S. travel is expected and can range from 5%-10%.
Expertise Required
-
Experience with analysis, design, coding, testing and support of software.

Proficiency in software development using the “C” language.

Specialty in embedded software, microcontrollers, and RTOS.

Knowledge of object-oriented programming in C , C#, Python, and Java.

Experience developing electronic systems including sensors, microcontrollers, screens/GUIs, wireless communication, and CAN (J1939 / ISOBUS).

Background developing test plans and product verification in a simulated and real environment.

Proven humility, flexibility, and commitment to engineering standards.
Experience / Education Required

Bachelor’s/Master's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
