Position Summary:
About the Team
We are responsible for building, securing and maintaining the public and private cloud on which our customer-facing solutions are hosted. We collaborate closely with product engineering and our development teams to deliver highly available, redundant, secure and scalable services. We pride ourselves on being one step ahead of those who rely on us, we love technology and find “unplanned downtime” unacceptable.
Key Responsibilities:
This position is key to our success and requires knowledge and previous experience across more than just one area of expertise. You will have the opportunity, and will be expected to learn new technologies quickly, stay abreast of industry changes, and apply your knowledge to contribute to the success of AGDATA. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the IT Infrastructure at AGDATA in a wide variety of technologies. - Interact with developers and application architecture teams to understand the components of their application architecture and translate that to underlying infrastructure requirements and assist in the troubleshooting of application incidents
- Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments
- Use your knowledge of enterprise infrastructure to design, deploy, maintain, and upgrade many different technologies across multiple enterprise IT Infrastructure areas (Compute, Storage, Network, and Cloud)
- Enhance effective monitoring, logging and auditing of production systems to ensure a secure and compliant infrastructure
- Implement and follow industry best practices to ensure high availability and security of the infrastructure environment
- Take an ownership level of support and maintenance for on-premises infrastructure (Azure Stack HCI, AD, DNS, Hyper-V, IIS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, Storage, etc).
- Mentor and train others in basic administration and best practices
- Create and maintain infrastructure documentation
Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience architecting, implementing, and supporting Enterprise IT and/or Operating IT Infrastructure
- 7 years of experience architecting, implementing and supporting on-premises Microsoft Windows Server and Server Virtualization technologies (Azure Stack HCI, Hyper-V, Clustering, AD, IIS, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft Cloud Infrastructure Administration (Entra ID, Azure Virtual Networks/Gateways, DNS Management, etc.)
- 3 years of experience with basic network administration (VPN, Switch configuration, firewall policies, load balancing, etc.)
- 3 years of experience with backup administration (Veeam preferred)
- Basic Linux administration experience
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation or equivalent scripting/automation
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to a new environment
- Ability to work independently and own multiple projects from planning to completion
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
