Description: Agile IT Synergy (AITS) is actively seeking a professional and talented Network Engineer with Federal Government experience.
The Network Engineer will help our customer solve network, application and system capacity/performance issues; plan, design, deploy, operate and optimize network infrastructure; perform network capacity planning and performance analysis using a variety of tools. You will also perform network design analysis/implementation, configuration validation, collect network and system performance, configuration information required for modeling and simulation studies while analyzing and understanding client’s IT requirements, organizational functions and decision-making process. Finally, you will present and articulate solutions developed to meet client requirements. The Network Engineer in this position needs to be able to work with many different kinds of people and be able to adapt to a lot of different situations.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:
• Must be a US Citizen with an active federal security clearance
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• Significant routing and switching, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN, and network design experience on multiple vendor products
• 3 years’ experience of requirements analysis
• 3 years’ experience with network management solutions such as SNMP monitoring tools, configuration management and auditing etc.
• 3 years of virtual infrastructure management experience to include any one of the following: VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, or AHV
• Basic understanding of Cloud architectures and overall implementation. Broad understanding of firewall traversal and port negotiations
• Demonstrable systems engineering problem-solving skills using ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness.
• Work closely with project managers and senior technical leads to ensure work meets client objectives.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:
• DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 and/or CISSP Cert
• Knowledge of authentication technologies including LDAP, AD, PKI, RADIUS, TACACS.
• 10 years of network, virtual infrastructure or cloud engineering experience preferred
• Riverbed, Nutanix, VMware, Cisco experience desirable
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience: Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering
