Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized back office medical assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the smooth operation of our medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
- Verifying insurance coverage and processing insurance claims
- Assisting with billing and coding tasks
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies
- Performing basic clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
- Assisting our providers with drug testing, physical evaluations, drawing blood samples and other clinical duties.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the back office and exam rooms
- Assisting with medical procedures as needed
- Providing patient education and answering patient questions
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the practice

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certificate
- Previous experience as a medical assistant preferred
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (Spanish) required
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
