What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery?
Agri-Mark/Cabot Creamery has an immediate opening for a Production Manager in our cheese and whey plant in Middlebury, VT.
This role, reporting to the Plant Manager, will have direct responsibility for award-winning cheese and whey production to ensure that quality, volume, cost standards, and customer specifications are achieved.
The Production Manager will help lead the facility in moving towards a continuous improvement culture. They will provide strong leadership promoting and modeling a culture of ethics, integrity, safety, quality, efficiency, and constant application of best practices. They will have the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines and be able to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, and engage a talented team of employees. Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and computer proficiency including Microsoft Office is necessary.
Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety and Food Quality (SQF) programs needed.
Qualified candidates should have 5 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor’s degree in business or technical field with experience in dairy manufacturing is required.
