We are seeking a motivated individual who will be responsible, under the direction of the Regional Agronomy Leader, for establishing professional customer relationships with an emphasis on creating a great customer experience while focusing on business growth. Position will focus on service to increase value to the customer’s total business and provide solutions to agronomy and crop production challenges.
You Will:
- Learn how to deliver outstanding agronomic practices by:
- Learning organizational, operations, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business within Agronomy Sales.
- Setting performance goals and objectives with management and review the attainment of these goals and objectives with management and key trainers throughout the 12-month training program.
- Working alongside experienced workers to acquire the knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for performance of various job responsibilities.
- Receive training in operations of Agronomy Sales departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and/or company locations and to provide greater promotional opportunities.
- Generate sales revenue by:
- Performing sales calls on current and prospective customers
- Presenting products, services, and the added value the company as designed by the Company.
- Handling objections and complaints in a timely manner.
- Gaining business through new customers.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by:
- Making sound and ethical agronomic recommendations to maximize profitability for our customers.
- Facilitating a communication channel between our customer and company.
- Consulting with growers working in the field on their product quality/standards and applications needed in their operation.
- Demonstrate sound agronomic skills:
- Interpreting soil tests and nutrient maps
- Building fertility recommendations based upon available data
- Conducting weed, insect, and plant disease identification
- Building pesticide recommendations based upon plant growth stage, pest, pressure, etc.
- Ensuring thorough knowledge of seed genetics and ability to recommend best available hybrids.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Ag-related field and 1-2 years of internship experience
- Must have a valid IA motor license.
