This position will assist with the mixing/blending of chemicals and fertilizer, calibrate and operate machines, assisting with deliveries, crop scouting, and learn the mechanics of different equipment and overall operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all agronomy warehouse and plant operations tasks.
- Follow label instructions and orders when loading crop protection products, blending fertilizer, and when treating seed.
- Provide accurate, efficient, and safe unloading, loading, and delivery of product.
- Assist agronomists in soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and weed, insect, and disease identification.
- Learn how to properly maintain the facilities equipment and overall warehouse and plant operations.
- Assist with inventory management and processes.
- Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
- Enrollment towards relevant agriculture degree. Enrollment in an agronomy program is preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- English proficiency.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
