Social Media Specialist

Job Description Summary

Social Media Specialist is responsible for follower engagement, curating content, updating content calendar, caption copywriting, managing publishing tool, and creative execution on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and potential future platforms) for all Agua Caliente Casino properties, Agua Caliente Fuel, The Spa at Séc-he, and any future operational establishments.

Essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

• Engaging with followers by responding to messages, comments, location tags, brand hashtags, etc... on all active social media accounts
• Copywriting for social media captions on all accounts; B2C (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc..) and B2B (LinkedIn)
• Live social media coverage of entertainment events, casino promotions, sponsorship/partnership events, etc..
  • Will require travel amongst Agua Caliente Casino properties in Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City & Palm Springs as well as offsite activations within the Coachella Valley
• Reviewing monthly content calendars to ensure all content is uploaded into Publishing Tool (Sprout Social) as well as successfully posted to platforms
• Maintaining brand standards/strategy in social media executions.
• Assist as needed with influencer campaigns
• Maintain current working knowledge of all social media software, tools, and capabilities
• Maintain current working knowledge of all social media advertising trends and techniques
• Provide excellent guest service
• Must comply with all applicable ACRM, ACPS, and ACCC System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures and all Tribal Regulations.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
• Experience with a professional camera strong editing skills
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Specifically, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Bridge
• Experience with Canva
• Experience with publishing tool; Sprout Social preferred
• Experience with social listening
• Experience with Influencer Marketing
• Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms
• Copywriting
• Excellent multitasking, time management, punctuality, and problem-solving skills with exceptional organizational abilities

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties; including walking up to 1 ½ miles, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of their shift. Also, may be subjected to a smoke-filled environment.

Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone. This role does require travel within the Coachella Valley; must be willing and able to travel amongst properties and offsite activations. Must have reliable transportation and flexible hours.
