JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Human Resources & Safety Assistant provides administrative and coordination support for the Cooperative’s human resources and workplace safety functions. This role assists with employee records management, benefits administration, training coordination, and compliance documentation, while supporting safety programs and regulatory requirements. The position contributes to a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace within an electric and broadband utility environment.
Essential Function

- .Provides administrative support for daily human resources and safety operations, including maintaining accurate records, files, and documentation
- .Assists with the preparation, coordination, and submission of reports and records, including but not limited to state, federal, industry, and compliance-related documentation
- .Assists as required with human resources activities, including onboarding support, records maintenance, training coordination, and benefits administration for employees, retirees, and the Board of Trustees
- .Coordinates employee training schedules, prepares materials, and assists with delivering training and informational sessions to groups using verbal, written, and visual communication methods
- .Assists with maintaining safety compliance records, including training documentation, OSHA records, PPE tracking, workers’ compensation, accident reports, and FMCSA-related information
- .Supports departmental projects, employee events, and Cooperative programs as assigned
- .Maintains schedules, supplies, and basic facility needs for the HR Training Room and Wellness Center
- .Complies with all AEC policies, procedures, and safety practices; participates in required safety meetings and training; and promotes a positive and professional image of the Cooperative
