As part of our Air Systems Components business segment, we are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive operational excellence, enhance production efficiency, and support our commitment to quality and innovation. This role will play a key part in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving safety and sustainability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and hands-on support to manufacturing teams, production supervisors, and associates.
- Analyze product and process workflows to identify cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency opportunities.
- Develop and refine manufacturing sequences to optimize operations.
- Collaborate with vendors to design and implement production-specific equipment and tooling.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and best practices across equipment and processes.
- Create and optimize process layouts to improve production flow and efficiency.
- Partner with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and enhance system performance.
- Lead and manage capital projects, including equipment specifications, budgeting, planning, and implementation.
- Support new product development and implementation in partnership with Product Engineering.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and production workflows.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with CNC programming is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to generate reports and present technical information.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, pricing software, and production analytics tools is a plus.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with arms.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and occasional outdoor conditions.
