Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises all employees at the branch location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Receives requests for product selection, price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers (via phone, fax, and email).
- Uses corporate ERP system (P21) to retrieve customer information, stock status information, purchase order status, and make changes to customer purchase orders. Ensures that correct codes are used for retrieving and inputting information.
- Achieves and maintains rapport with customers and works to give the best possible customer service.
- Help maintain corporate goals for corporate sales, branch sales, profitability, cost containment, branch budgets, and branch inventory levels.
- Prepare and maintains maintenance schedules for branch equipment and utilities.
- Primary liaison between customer and branch, branch personnel, and outside sales force.
- Evaluates and measure key productivity indicators for customer service.
- Issues oral and written instructions.
- Works closely with Inside Sales Manager to help coordinate workflow between inside sales corporate, branch inside sales, technical inside sales, and LMH inside sales departments.
- Hosts monthly staffing meetings to keep employees abreast of company issues.
- Works closely with the expediter and helps/supports when necessary.
- Determines staff hours; handles vacation requests, proper daily staffing, and workload distribution.
- Investigates and addresses customer complaints for full resolution.
- Handles the needs of the outside sales force.
- Makes hoses for customers.
- Operates the retail counter by handling walk-in cash and credit card sales.
- Performs shipping/receiving duties as needed.
- Follows company ISO policies and procedures.

- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Individuals should have knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn corporate ERP system.
- Ability to become forklift certified.
- Mechanical Aptitude and Numerical Reasoning are required.
- Must be able to carry an emergency service pager.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
