This facility is the main helium liquid supplier within North America. The facility employs 10 Operation Technicians and 2 Maintenance Technicians. In addition, there is a standalone delivery terminal 13 miles away from the production facility employing 3 vehicle mechanics, 14 team drivers, 1 single driver delivering LIN to the production facilities, and 9 contract carrier teams along with 5 office personnel.
The Operations Tech monitors the process and performs preventative and routine maintenance on the systems.

Plant Operations Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Plant Operations Technician within our plant operations team located at our Liberal, KS location.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Demonstrative mechanical aptitude/or military experience.
- Basic electrical, instrument or mechanical maintenance experience a plus.
- Experience with personal computers.
- Experience with Microsoft word or excel a plus.
- Desire and ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to work 12-hour rotating shift which include some nights, on-calls, and weekends.
- Perform general maintenance tasks on plant process equipment such as vibration monitoring, oil samples, etc.
- Ability to operate a tractor/trailer a plus-Fill Liquid helium containers.
- Team player that is flexible and has a positive attitude.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Commitment to Safety.
Responsibilities:
The Plant Operations Technician is responsible for controlling and monitoring a number of processes in the production of liquid nitrogen, oxygen and argon, including the following:
- Participate in the basic safety process, sharing responsibility for the site’s overall safety performance.
- Follow, update and maintain operating procedures to ensure safety and efficiency of the operations.
- Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment and assist technicians with mechanical repairs, instrument calibrations and electrical troubleshooting.
- Provide troubleshooting expertise for the production units Team player that is flexible and has a positive attitude.
- Oversee trailer loading operations and train loading personnel.
- Adhere to strict product quality guidelines.
- Provide direct interface with merchant customers.
- Support other facilities in the area as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders and steps and lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Will be exposed to high noise levels.
- Be able to meet call-in requirements as needed. Work at elevation required.
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Two-year Associate Degree in a technical field is a pls.
- Instrumentation and/or IT experience.

Plant process experience and/or Process Technology Degree/Certification.
- Able to work shift.
- 12-hour shift schedule.
- Willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work alone.
