Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opportunity for a Tax Analyst at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Member of the team responsible for the domestic aspects of the Company’s U.S. federal tax return including preparation, analysis, and filing of Schedule M’s, Forms 1120, federal tax consolidation, and related items
- Preparation and filing of U.S. partnership returns
- Preparation, analysis, and filing of state income and franchise tax returns
- Identify tax savings opportunities
- Maintenance of an up-to-date knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax laws and regulations
- Development of expertise in relation to the Company’s federal income tax preparation software and the Company’s systems generally with a view to enhancing the efficiency of the U.S. income tax compliance processes
- Provide support on IRS federal audits and management of assigned state income and franchise tax audits; and
- Provide support to senior tax planners on development, analysis, and implementation of tax planning.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two to four years of U.S. federal corporate income tax experience
- Good analytical, financial accounting, interpersonal, communication, and software skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work well independently and also collaborate in a team environment
- Sound U.S. tax knowledge base; and
- Experience using corporate income tax compliance software.
Education:
- An undergraduate degree in accounting or a Master of Taxation degree is required.
