What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Detailer position at Airport Paint and Body Shop?
Airport Paint and Body is growing and we are looking for an automotive detailer to grow with us! We are a family owned business that has been in the automotive industry for over 3 generations. We have four locations in Kentucky (Hebron, Erlanger, Wilder, and Florence) and two location in Ohio (Batavia and Sharonville). Currently, we are looking to fill an automotive detailer position at our Erlanger location.
*This position is generally used an an entry-level position into the industry. The perfect candidate would be eligible to step into a training role with either an experienced autobody technician or as a painter's apprentice after a minimum of 6 months in the detailer position.
Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Review and inspect repaired areas to ensure that all work was performed and for quality of repairs
- Check function of cameras and/or sensors and note any deficiencies
- Thoroughly clean the inside and outside of vehicles using the necessary equipment; including cleaning and polishing the vehicles windows
- Apply polishes and waxes after cleaning
- Help with facility maintenance (take out trash, sweep shop floors, clean bathrooms as necessary, vacuum front office. . .)
- Shuttle vehicles to sublet shops when needed
- Pick up and/or deliver cars to customers
- Assist techs as needed
- Run errands as needed
- Maintain the standard and quality of service
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations
Job Requirements:
- Experience is a plus but not necessary
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Excellent customer service skills
- Be willing to submit to a background check, driver's license check, and/or drug screening
