What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charter Sales Representative position at Airshare?

The Charter Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and growing charter sales revenue for Airshares fleet of managed/charter aircraft. They will be responsible for monitoring all wholesale requests for Airshares charter fleet of aircraft as well as assist Airshares retail charter sales team in pricing out our charter aircraft. They will also contribute to the development of relationships with wholesale partners, aircraft account managers, and managed aircraft owners. The Charter Sales Representative will also aid in the sourcing of supplemental lift aircraft to back up Airshares fractional fleet of aircraft. This position will require you to work in the office located in Overland Park, KS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Build relationships with brokers and operators who require lift on our fleet
  • Quote all wholesale requests that come in via email, phone, and web platform
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, beginning with the initial opportunity, quoting, and follow-up
  • Enter, track, and maintain an accurate customer database
  • Communicate effectively with all customers, owners, and internal customers
  • Work alongside the retail charter sales team by providing pricing for our on-fleet aircraft
  • Ability to demonstrate an expert understanding of the aircraft and chartering process
  • Flight watching/overseeing flight departures
  • Assist with the sourcing of supplemental lift aircraft for our fractional department

Qualified candidates will have preferred 2 years of aviation experience AND a 4-year degree. They will have excellent negotiation skills as well as the ability to demonstrate an overall high motivation for selling.

  • Must have a strong network within the aviation charter industry
  • Ability to exceed sales financial targets
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Must be self-motivated, outgoing, and well-organized
  • Previous sales experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite required
  • Previous experience with Aircraft scheduling and quoting software is preferred (Current systems include Operator and SchedAero/Avinode)
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is preferred
